“中国民间故事村”伍家沟位于十堰丹江口市六里坪镇。现已发现民间故事2000多个、民歌1000余首。

(Humanity in Shiyan) Wujiagou: A Folktale Village in China

Wujiagou, a folktale village in China, is located in Liuliping Town, Danjiangkou city under the jurisdiction of Shiyan city. It is discovered that there are more than 2,000 folktales and over 1000 folksongs.

伍家沟故事村有着丰富的民间文化资源，它展现了长江流域荆楚文化中民间文化的起源、发展、心态、活力与传承现象。许多古老的风俗，如先秦楚人的拜日、崇火、尊凤、招魂等，至今仍在百姓的婚丧嫁娶等活动中有所留存。2006年5月，伍家沟民间故事被列入第一批国家级非物质文化遗产名录。

Wujiagou folktale village holds a rich source of folklore, which embodies the origin, development, psychology, vigor and inheritance of folklore in Jingchu Culture along the Yangtze River Valley. Many old customs, such as sun-worshipping, fire-worshipping, phoenix-honoring, and ghost-evoking, are still popular in the weddings and funerals. In May, 2006, Wujiagou Folktales are among the first to be declared as Non-material Cultural Heritage under state protection and to be included in Non-material Cultural Heritage List.

在伍家沟，口传民间文学得以较好继承，全村800余人，能讲50个故事以上者47人，能讲100个故事以上者9人。其中，许多民间故事讲述者亦是民歌师傅，他们能说能唱。从年龄层次看，有80余岁的老人，有50岁左右的壮年，有20多岁的青年，也有少年儿童，更有故事家庭、故事夫妻等。他们讲述的故事，内容十分广泛，从盘古开天辟地、女娲造人直到当代，上下五千年，无所不谈。

In Wujiagou, oral folk literature is well inherited. There are over 800 people in the whole village. 47 people can tell over 50 stories and 9 people can tell more than 100 stories. Among them, many folktale tellers are folksong masters. They can talk and sing well. In the perspective of ages, there are old people at the age of over 80, adults at the age of about 50, and young people at the age of over 20. There are still some children and some family whose members all can tell stories and some family in which husband and wife can both tell tales. The stories are very extensive, ranging in content from Pan Gu, creator of universe and NÜ Wa, mender of sky to modern times. It covers about five thousand years.

伍家沟民间故事村的形成，有三个因素，即：道教文化的渗透，民间文化的底蕴，历史文化的积淀。这三种文化在伍家沟汇合，并不断进行积累、传承，从而结出了今天的硕果。

There are three factors for the formation of Wujiagou folktale village, that is, the pervasion of Taoist culture, the heritage of folk culture, and the heritage of historical culture. The three cultures converge here to accumulate and inherit so that the folk culture gets fruitful results.
