前７月闽吸收合同台资１５．９６亿美元

１－７月，台商转道来闽投资依然活跃，全省吸收合同台资１５．９６亿美元，同比增长１．１倍，占全省合同外资总额比重由上年同期１６．３％提高至２５．９％，对全省合同外资增长贡献率为５４．８％。台资实际到资７．９７亿美元，增长４１．９％，高于全省平均增速１６．９个百分点，对全省实际到资增长贡献率为４３．４％。

During the first seven months of this year, Fujian attracted USD 1.596 billion of contracted Taiwanese capital, surging 110% over the previous year. The percentage of Taiwanese capital in the province’s total contracted foreign capital has risen from 16.3% last year to 25.9% today. Capital from Taiwan accounted for 54.8% of the growth in Fujian’s contracted foreign capital. $797 million of the contracted Taiwanese capital has been injected into investment projects in Fujian, an increase of 41.9% over the previous year, exceeding the province’s average rate of growth in foreign capital by 16.9 percentage points, and accounting for 43.4% of the growth rate of all foreign capital injected in the province.

2,258 non-local children attend public schools

2258名农民工子女入厦门岛内公办学校

厦门思明区近日举行了农民工子女就读公办小学电脑派位，结果是：今年要求上公办学校的农民工子女中，有76%的愿望得到满足，1005名农民工子女被派入公办学校，这也是我市首次通过电脑派位来决定非本市户口的农民工子女谁上公办小学。湖里区教育局通过电脑派位将1253名农民工子女派入公办学校。至此，2258名农民工子女今秋将入岛内公办学校。

Siming District of Xiamen has allocated places in public schools to migrant workers’ children by a computerized open ballot. A total of 1,005 children or 76% of the children have been assigned to public schools of their choice. This is the first time in Xiamen that non-local children have been assigned to public schools by a computerized ballot. The Huli District Education Bureau has used the same measure to assign 1,253 migrant workers’ children to public schools, bringing the total number of non-local children attending public schools in Xiamen to 2,258.

94 gardens completed

园博园94个展园竣工

第六届园博会将于9月23日在厦门开幕，这是历届规模最大的一次园博会。目前，园博园建设工程已进入扫尾阶段，基础设施和公共建筑已基本完成，并已有94个展园竣工，4个基本竣工，预计9月上旬工程全部完工。本届园博会共有24个外国城市、中国内地44个城市及台湾5个县市、香港、澳门等城市参建，是历届参展城市最多的园博会。
