1.How to support development of new products and technologies for filtration and plastic components and assemblies.
2.About provide general plastics knowledge and fundamentals to a wide array of projects and personnel.
3.About interact with external mold and tool builders and plastic joining equipment suppliers on design concepts for initial quotes.
4.About interact with customers and suppliers on product development.
5.About assist in the prototyping and testing of design concepts.
6.About close
interaction with mold builder and hot runner system supplier, providing
detailed information as needed to assure molds are properly designed to
manufacture good quality, low cost parts.
7.About interact with
manufacturing plants, mold builders, and secondary assembly equipment
manufacturers in getting tooling and parts into production (molding,
plastic welding, parts assembly, etc.).
8.About assist in evaluation of injection molding equipment and ancillary equipment.
9.About participate in cross-functional product development teams to put new designs into production.
10.About support sales and costing to get concepts relayed and quoted to customers.
11.About support special projects; including Value Package Introduction (VPI) and 6 Sigma projects.
12.About participate in cross-functional teams to support cost reduction programs/projects/implementation.
13.About be
willing to think creatively (outside the box) to come up with new and
unique concepts to improve product design and assembly methods and
possibly make it proprietary.
14.About work cross culturally and in other countries (if needed), communicating in English.
15.About travel for training and to support internal manufacturing plants, customers and suppliers (10-20%).
