也许是受Hollywood电影热潮的影响,最近特别想看电影,although I’m not moviegoer(常看电影的人).但是常常在逛Blockbuster或者Hollywood Videos(美国两大电影DVD租赁连锁店)的时候,看到架子上各种各样的电影,总有把它们全看个遍的冲动.But usually, I would go for the latest ones. 上面提到的go,在口语里面经常会用到."选择做某件事",咱们不用choose,直接go for就可以了.Just like me talking about the magic words in spoken English, I always go for small words instead of big ones.另外,表示一个人向某方面转变也可以用go,比如我的好朋友Plum最近为了减肥,决定吃素,做一个vegetarian(素食主义者).前几天他给我打电话,很兴奋得跟我说"Daisy, I’ve decided to go vegeterian." 我很支持地说"Great! Go ahead!(那就去做吧!)"go甚至可以用来代替"say",我们可以说"I go", "he goes",或者我们经常会说"那句话怎么说来着?",地道的英文说法是"How does it go?..."
